"Situated only 5 miles north of Manchester and less than a mile from the M62, Stand Golf Club has been welcoming visitors and newcomers to the club for over 100 years. The course is maintained to a high standard providing a challenging and stimulating test to all calibre of golfers.A superb mixture of parkland and heathland, with stunning views over Lancashire and surrounding counties, means Stand Golf Club has been the envy of the area for many years.The signature holes are the tough 4th, 9th and 10th, with the par 3 13th a picture in spring, being surrounded by bunkers and rhododendron bushes. Stand course is reputed to be one of the finest in the area, based on a sandy sub- soil, it is playable all year round for members, visitors and societies."
